Pinora Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 2, 2026 · Last Updated: July 2, 2026

Pinora ("the App") is an AI-powered trip planning application published by ClearByteDev ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, why, and what your choices are. By using Pinora you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

1. Data Controller & Contact

2. The Short Version

3. Data Stored Only on Your Device

The following data is created by you and stored in a local database and local files on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers:

Backups: the backup/export feature creates a file on your device that you control (you choose where to save or share it). We do not receive backup files.

Deletion: you can delete individual items in the App at any time; uninstalling the App deletes all local data.

4. Data We Process on Our Servers

4.1 AI Trip Planning

When you use AI features (trip suggestions, day guides, AI chat, packing suggestions), the text of your request (e.g. destination, dates, interests, prompt text) is sent to AI servers operated for us in order to generate a response. Requests are protected with encrypted access tokens, are processed to generate the answer, and are not used to build a profile of you. Do not include personal data you do not want processed in AI prompts.

4.2 Usage Analytics & Crash Reporting (first-party)

We operate our own lightweight analytics to understand feature usage and fix crashes. This collects: a randomly generated app-install identifier (not tied to your name, email, phone number or advertising ID), device model, operating system version, app version, screen/feature event names, crash logs, and — only if you granted location permission — your device's location, sent at most once per 15 minutes while the App is in use, which we use for regional usage statistics. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and improving the App (and your permission, for location). You can stop location collection at any time by revoking the location permission in system settings. Retention: up to 24 months, after which data is deleted or aggregated.

4.3 Remote Configuration & Content

The App downloads configuration and content files (e.g. API configuration, beach water quality data and images) from our server. As with any web request, our server temporarily processes your IP address to deliver the response; we do not use it to identify you.

5. Device Permissions

PermissionWhy we ask
Location (while in use)Showing your position on the map, finding nearby places, weather for your area. Coordinates are also included in usage analytics as described in Section 4.2 (at most once per 15 minutes, only while the permission is granted).
Camera & Photo LibraryAdding photos to places, memories, reservations and documents. Photos stay on your device.
NotificationsLocal reminders (e.g. trip-related notifications). Scheduled on your device.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS)Only if you allow tracking, the advertising identifier may be used for personalized ads (see Section 7). If you decline, you still get ads, but non-personalized.

All permissions are optional; related features simply will not work without them. You can change permissions anytime in system settings.

6. Third-Party Services We Use

7. Advertising & Your Choices

8. Legal Bases (GDPR / KVKK)

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR in the EU/EEA, KVKK Law No. 6698 in Türkiye, and CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because almost all App content lives only on your device, most data is directly under your control. For anything processed on our side (Section 4), contact support@clearbytedev.com — we respond within the legally required period (e.g. 30 days under KVKK). We do not sell personal information.

10. Data Retention

11. Security

All network traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. API configuration is delivered encrypted. Sensitive content such as Document Vault items is stored only on your device — we recommend using a device passcode. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take commercially reasonable measures appropriate to the risk.

12. International Transfers

The third-party providers listed in Section 6 may process data on servers in other countries (including the United States and the European Union) under their own safeguards. Our own servers are operated for us within our hosting providers' infrastructure.

13. Children

Pinora is not directed to children under 18 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this address; material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, in-app notice. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
